I created the brand Mikora Dolls, one of the rare Afro plush dolls that proudly carries its African heritage. Her name is Taliane, which means "Hope" in the Vili language of Congo. I believe that diversity enriches everyone, and that our different cultures are the beauty of humanity.

Unfortunately, Afro beauty is still misunderstood and despised, even within the Afro community.

 

So, my doll Taliane is the hope that Afro beauty will finally be celebrated at its true value, loved without shame, and passed down with pride to future generations, and that it may also be admired, respected, and cherished by those who do not share this skin, because together we are building a world where every difference becomes a treasure.
